Fadder 2011
New students from abroad are welcome to join the new UiS Student Guide Week, or "Fadder 2011" as it is called in Norwegian.
Fadder 2011 is a welcoming week which is held every year in August, where new students are split into Fadder groups lead by 2nd and 3rd year students. These students show the new arrivals around on campus and participate with them in events during the week. The Student Guide Week (Fadderuken) is held after the Orientation Week: 15th to the 20th of August.
Activities
The Student Guide Week might be the best opportunity international students get to know Norwegian students. During the week there will be possible to participate in different activities such as helicopter ride, volleyball tournament, concerts, and many more.
The events held in English are stand-up show with the Australian Andy Taffs (Monday 15th of August) and a visit to the Museum of Archaeology (Wednesday 17th of August).
