Elected trustee at faculty level

There are many boards and electives attached to UiS and StOr. The students have the right to at least 20% representatives in all boards and electives with decision rights at the university.

 

Students are represented at most boards and electives at UiS. This means that you have influence in most aspects, teaching environment, quality of education, student administration or teaching- and learning forms, if you choose to get involved.

 

Faculty boards

Each faculty has a faculty board. The board functions as an advisory organ for the dean, and should contribute to good, qualitative decisions as well as interact with the management, employees and students. The board has three student representatives.

 

The Quality board

Each faculty has a quality board that is responsible for maintaining quality work at faculty level. The board should have two student representatives.

 

Appoint and hiring board

The Appoint and hiring board are a part of considering applicants to positions at UiS. There are employment electives on both faculty and institutional levels.
