The student community Folken

Folken is the student house in Stavanger city, for all students no matter their institution. This means its shared by the students of UiS, BI, The college of Art, Misjonshøyskolen, and Diakonhjemmet college.

 

Folken is run on a day to day basis by mainly volunteering students from all five institutions and arranges concerts, cabarets, art shows, debates etc. The different arrangements happen in three areas, the large hall (Storsalen), the café (Akvariet) and the basement (Grottene). As a student the spaces are available to hire for different student activities.
