StOr has a practicing elective, under the student council, at each of the faculties.

The Social Science faculty (Det Samfunnsvitenskapelige fakultet) (SV)

The Engineering Sciences faculty (Det Teknisk- naturvitenskapelige fakultet) (TN)

The Humanistic faculty (Det Humanistiske fakultet) (HUM)

The electives are called StOr SV, StOr TN and StOr HUM, and work on a monthly basis with legal orientation, elections and following up students in the university boards and associations as well as class representatives and keeping dialog with bar associations. To see through cases and goals they also work closely with the management of each faculty and institution.

StOr at the faculties consists of three representatives per faculty, a total of nine representatives.

Works to represent students in the university board and associations.

Works to increase knowledge of legal rights among students.

Class elective and bar association representative

Works to follow up all class electives and bar associations.

How do I join StOr SV, StOr TN or StOr HUM?

It is the SP that elects representatives of StOr at the faculties. The election takes place before the summer, and you have to report your candidature for one of the available posts to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. An election committee assigned by the SP will interview and review all applications before they send a recommendation to the SP. The election committee has not got the right to vote on the candidates, and the SP is permitted to go against their recommendation and elect another student if they wish.
