What do we do

StOr works as an elected representative for the students. We are here to look out for the students’ rights. StOr works actively so that the students can have a better experience at the University of Stavanger. We also fight for the individual, if someone has problems with the institution. For example, if a student is not allowed to take the re-sit exam at the correct time, and receives notification to wait a whole year, StOr would help to solve the problem and find out the student’s rights in that case.
Purpose and vision

The Student Organization at the University of Stavanger (UiS) is a goal-centered and non-party affiliated interest organization. The purpose is to work for students’ academic, democratic, economic, cultural and social needs and rights. StOr’s vision is that all students will have a right to education independent of economic and cultural background. The organization’s name is The Student Organization at University of Stavanger, “StudentOrganisasjonen ved Universitetet i Stavanger”, abbreviated StOr.
