What is your motivation to apply for the position?
I want to contribute to an even better university for all students. Through my involvement in various councils and boards, I have gained valuable experience and am ready for new challenges. It is important that the students' voice is heard even at the highest level, and if you give me your vote, I will make sure that you will not regret it.

Write about your relevant experiences
Since I started at the university, I have been involved in several boards and councils. Among other things, I have been a deputy on the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Social Sciences, a permanent representative on the Study Portfolio Committee, a subject trustee in several subjects, and a permanent representative on the department council of the Department of Media and Social Sciences. Furthermore, I have been part of the election committee for
UiSI (University of Stavanger Sports Association), founded and led the student organization "UiS Brettspill", and recently became a member of the Liberal Alliance list in order to gain even more relevant experience. As a host in Rennebergstien student housing, I also contribute to a good student environment and listen to students' wishes and needs.

Name three matters you will work for
Increased education quality:
The university should have staff who are not only good at research, but who also have good pedagogical skills to teach. As a student, it can be very limiting if a lecturer is not a good communicator. I will work to ensure that the quality of education at the university is kept to a good standard.

Retain international students:
It is important to me that international students should receive a fair and reasonable education at the University of Stavanger. Their presence contributes to a diversity that enriches the university's culture and environment.

Better mental health for students:
Surveys show that students' mental health is declining. I believe that the university, in collaboration with the Student Union in Stavanger, must take an active role to include and support all students.

What challenges do you envision you will encounter in this position?
In a position such as the UiS Board, there will undoubtedly be challenges, but I welcome them. I have learned to value challenges, as they provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. One possible challenge is to reach out to the students and ask for their opinions. But this is something I want to strive for and achieve, and through experience with communication through UiS Board Games and as a host, it should go well. I am confident that I can handle everything that comes my way, whether it involves reading large amounts of case papers or expressing my opinion to the others on the board. I'm ready
to challenge myself for the good of the students, and I hope you will give me the chance to do so.

Why should you be elected for this position?
My courage, my experience in other positions and, not least, that I am passionate about increased student well-being are good reasons why I should be chosen for this position. Through my studies, I have learned to embrace new challenges and uncertainty. My previous positions have helped me to develop both as a person and as a representative of fellow students. If I am elected to the UiS board, I will work hard to ensure that the students' voice is heard. I want to make a real difference to the students and together we can shape the future of UiS and ensure that it continues to be a place for growth, learning and inclusion.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my application. I hope you will give me your trust to represent the students as part of the UiS Board.
